We're excited to share some of our favorite places in the area with you! We encourage guests to head into Lake Forest (via Uber/Lyft) for the day to try some local spots. Additional recommendations around the hotel and in downtown Chicago listed below.

Morning: Egg Harbor Café, Hometown Coffee & Juice, LF Juice, Tala Coffee Roasters

Midday: Foodstuffs, Duffer’s Pub (golf simulator), Ferentino’s Pizzeria, The Other Door, Tacos el Norte

Evening: Le Colonial, The Bar at Deer Path Inn, Francesca's Intimo, The Lantern, Chief's Pub, Disotto

Historic Market Square: Visit the local stores of America's first planned outdoor shopping mall. Highlights include: Lake Forest Booksellers, M on the Square, Lake Forest Shop, Sweets, and Amidei Mercatino.

Forest Park and Lake Forest Beach: Enjoy the lake views from the park on the bluff with steep stairs heading down to the beach. Beach access is $25 for non-residents. You can walk from Market Square, just take Deerpath Road East.

At the hotel, guests can enjoy golf, pool time and nature trails onsite. Nearby, you can visit Par King miniature golf course and the Chicago botanic gardens.

Please note: Lollapalooza is the same weekend as our wedding. Prepare for busier crowds and heavier traffic if you'll be in and out of the city.
